"Holland & Hart has been using TrialDirector for over ten years now. We continue to use TrialDirector because of the features, flexibility and fair cost structure. We have used TrialDirector in court, day after day, to pull up a full range of media from the usual scanned documents to complex 3D animations and even QuickTime Virtual Reality files, before they were widely known. The results have been several multi-million dollar wins in both plaintiff and defense work.
In one case in Texas, the ease in bringing up a deposition clip, in which the witness bragged about getting misbegotten money "lost" in the Cayman Islands, helped convince the jury to award our clients $108 million. "I was engaged in the recent trial between the City of Anaheim and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. In the trial -in which the City of Anaheim contested that the team's new name was a violation of the intent of the naming clause of the lease agreement -a crucial exhibit was the 80-page Lease Agreement itself. The robust multi-zone capabilities of TrialDirector let me keep crucial pages of the agreement on one side of the screen, and at the same time, present supporting exhibits in up to three more zones, for a total of four pages at one time.
"The ability to use the full-screen callout and annotation features on any one of those pages made it very easy to create solid persuasive presentations with very little effort. In addition, inData's versatile "Find" feature allowed me to find the specific documents I needed very quickly. By adding information in the description field (such as lease paragraph references or the lease page numbers, which differed from the actual exhibit page numbers), I was able to find and display the right exhibits fast, regardless of whether the attorney called out a paragraph number, Lease page number or exhibit page number."

had an eight-and-a-half hour deposition that was filmed in China
and delivered in MPEG-1 format. Not only was the audio quality on the poor side,
but the entire deposition was conducted through a translator so much of the
audio would not have a match in the English transcription. I was very
