About inData

"inData is the most responsive company I've ever dealt with for customer service and care. When inData takes on a project, they get it done right. I've been using inData for ten years, and in that whole time, I don't remember ever having a problem.  That's saying a lot.

"My team supports a lot of different software products, but if an attorney asks me what I recommend and inData has a product in that category, that's what I recommend. They have high quality products, and high quality people behind the products.  From a technology perspective, they've shown a great knack, again and again, for identifying difficult product niches and delivering smart solutions. The bottom line -I'm extremely high on these guys."

"I always thought of inData as synonymous with TrialDirector, but you guys are an outstanding EDD vendor. We have tested your company, and you passed with flying colors! I would not hesitate a minute to recommend your firm."

"Our firm has engaged inData on several litigation projects throughout the years, the most recent one to process and convert electronic data files. Again and as always, inData has proved to be amazing. Their work product far surpasses any I have enlisted in my 18 years as a paralegal."

TrialDirector

"TrialDirector is the absolute best legal presentation product on the market.  I have been in the trial presentation business for 15 years, and have been never seen any other product come close to it. I am often exposed to other applications being told "it's so easy" or "it's so much better" only to find it lacks some critical element that only someone who's in the "Hot-Seat" regularly would appreciate, and expect.

This comment was unsolicited. I just felt like patting you guys on the back."

"We just tried a case with TrialDirector 5, the newest version of TrialDirector from inData. It was fantastic, especially because we (our client) won and were awarded 100% of the requested damages! We had a six (6) day trial in court that went extremely well, and we had no issues at all with TrialDirector 5. The new waveform clip editor saved me a bunch of time in modifying DVT clips, which I really appreciated!!! Overall, I found that preparing for the case in the new integrated all-in-one program was extremely easy and seemed to help speed the entire process along. We are very pleased with TrialDirector Version 5!"

"Holland & Hart has been using TrialDirector for over ten years now. We continue to use TrialDirector because of the features, flexibility and fair cost structure. We have used TrialDirector in court, day after day, to pull up a full range of media from the usual scanned documents to complex 3D animations and even QuickTime Virtual Reality files, before they were widely known. The results have been several multi-million dollar wins in both plaintiff and defense work.

In one case in Texas, the ease in bringing up a deposition clip, in which the witness bragged about getting misbegotten money "lost" in the Cayman Islands, helped convince the jury to award our clients $108 million. And just a few months ago, our firm was victorious against one of the largest chemical companies in the world, who was represented by much bigger and more famous firms. We used TrialDirector, but the other side used a competing package. The difference has been, in part, reflected by the $113 million dollar judgment in our favor.

What more can I say, but that we just upgraded to the new Trial Director Version 5.0 and are excited to put all its new features and integrated interface to use in all our upcoming trials. Keep up the good work inData and thanks!"

"TrialDirector is simple to learn and simple to use. A 'must have' for any attorney who prefers to pay attention during trial instead of fumbling for his next exhibit."

"In today's litigation world, it's absolutely essential to be able to make a professional, clear, and strong presentation of evidence at settlement and trial. TrialDirector has become a central piece of our arsenal. At mediation, we use it to show the other side that we can, and will, try the case. At trial, it allows our attorneys to really show the jury our case and, hopefully, show the other side they should have put more money on the table at mediation.

Our most recent case using TrialDirector resulted in a total combined settlement/verdict of $3.2 million dollars. TrialDirector and the inData support staff get our vote for the top litigation software and services on the market!"

"Most of my clients are in Los Angeles, the land of entertainment. If they ever have any questions about using TrialDirector, I ask them: 'Are you going to read your kids Star Wars or take them to the movie? That's how you have to think about what you're saying to the jury, because the jury wants to be visually stimulated.' If they're still uncertain, I'll tell them bluntly: 'Heaven help you if you go up against counsel with TrialDirector. You're going to lose.'

"TrialDirector gives my clients immediate access to essential data. If there's a crucial, make or break exhibit, you can bring it up instantaneously. In the heat of trial, my client can say, 'Frank, please bring up Exhibit Five.' Boom, there it is. There's great power in that. In a recent case involving a hospital, the plaintiff was offered a settlement to go away. The plaintiff declined, and went forward with a suit for $1,500,000. At the end of the trial, she was awarded zero; to make matters even worse, her counsel was handed the defense counsel's costs, including my fee!"

"I was engaged in the recent trial between the City of Anaheim and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. In the trial -in which the City of Anaheim contested that the team's new name was a violation of the intent of the naming clause of the lease agreement -a crucial exhibit was the 80-page Lease Agreement itself. The robust multi-zone capabilities of TrialDirector let me keep crucial pages of the agreement on one side of the screen, and at the same time, present supporting exhibits in up to three more zones, for a total of four pages at one time.

"The ability to use the full-screen callout and annotation features on any one of those pages made it very easy to create solid persuasive presentations with very little effort. In addition, inData's versatile "Find" feature allowed me to find the specific documents I needed very quickly. By adding information in the description field (such as lease paragraph references or the lease page numbers, which differed from the actual exhibit page numbers), I was able to find and display the right exhibits fast, regardless of whether the attorney called out a paragraph number, Lease page number or exhibit page number."

"In our TV driven, Internet-accessed culture, computer technology has insinuated itself into courtrooms. Some cases demand it, and juries expect it. When used to enhance and complement rather than replace and supplant our presentations, technology makes us even more persuasive. Instructing our students in the use of TrialDirector helps put them on the cutting edge of courtroom technology -and courtroom performance. Our goal is to eventually have all 168-second year law students be TrialDirector-literate. Each student will be required to use the software during several classes and their end of the semester mock jury trial."

TimelineXpress

"I only had 45 minutes to present my client's side of a complex case. I had to walk the court through 46 events in three different real estate transactions and two different lawsuits. I was able to do so using TimelineXpress. The other side was totally outgunned. The judge was fascinated with how we were able to quickly show so much information in so little time, and back it up instantaneously with deposition exhibits, etc. We won the case, and I'm certain that I could not have done it without TimelineXpress. It's a great program!"

TimeCoder Pro

"The RapidSync feature in TimeCoder Pro is amazing!!! I synchronized a 9 hour deposition with minimal QC effort in 45 minutes. I'm still rubbing cold diet coke cans on my head to get over the shock. Thanks for developing such a useful product!"

"I just wanted to let you know that I was totally impressed by TimeCoder Pro. I had an eight-and-a-half hour deposition that was filmed in China and delivered in MPEG-1 format. Not only was the audio quality on the poor side, but the entire deposition was conducted through a translator so much of the audio would not have a match in the English transcription. I was very apprehensive about the outcome of performing an autosynch, but was not thrilled with the thought of manually synching this lengthy deposition. I went ahead and utilized RapidSynch and the result was flawless. There were no issues and the client was very happy. Great job and keep up the good work."

"Katz Consulting Group has used Timecoder Pro extensively since its release for most of our service bureau synchronization work. Having spent the past 2 months running hundreds of hours of video through the latest release-- TimeCoder Pro 5 -- I can say without question that you have a true WINNER on your hands. Not only did we consistently achieve synchronization speeds of 15x - 20x real-time, but also the accuracy was astonishing. With quality audio and video, we regularly rated 99% - 100% accuracy. And quality control only took a few minutes per deposition. Even more impressive - we ran a large batch of horrible video and audio (third-party VHS EP tapes from the 1980s and 1990s), and we were in the 11x - 15x speed range with 96% - 98% accuracy. To say that our workflow will improve dramatically with TimeCoder Pro 5 is an understatement. Timecoder Pro 5 is an invaluable addition to our toolset and an innovative product that will allow Katz Consulting Group to continue to provide top-notch products and services to our clients worldwide."

"I was recently retained in a major trial with almost no advance notice (called on Friday, first met on Sunday, opening statements on Monday). Thanks to TimeCoder Pro 5 and its new RapidSync feature, I've actually been able to sync transcripts during lunch on my laptop! What a timesaver (seems to be running around 14 times faster than real-time), and worth every nickel! The accuracy is also fantastic—most depositions have zero errors. There is no other way this could have been done so quickly and easily."
